Excellent program/software, congrats. I am not an IT geek but with a bit of patience most people should be able to do this.

First time I tried it didn't work - got a blank screen. So I re-loaded the software and used a different phone charger adapter for the power supply. Bingo!

XBMC all set up now.

For those of you struggling, there are plenty of Youtube step-by-step videos that help you along. Instead of moaning on this board, go see some of them and solve your problems yourself.

That is what the Raspberry Pi is all about.

Funny... my Pi runs just fine from my Raspbian boot SD card, but I get nothing, like many others have posted, when I follow the instructions above and try to boot from the card I try to load Raspbmc on. So what's your solution besides flippant comments?

Excuse the people that complain, it does not express the feelings of most of us. I am new to this and are ashamed of negative comments. For the users complaining, ask your questions nicely if not sell your raspberry and take up another hobby - this is not for you if you don't have patience. The time invested by the author is most valuable to him and should be praised and not questioned in a negative manner and for those that say they have a job...great you get paid to do your job. Sam does not...Thank you Sam.
