I am a complete Linux moron and I had everything downloaded, installed and running in less than an hour. I made sure to carefully read all the instructions on here and on my screen. I had one problem but solved it by slowly looking over the display and realizing I was being told to type in sdd but I was actually supposed to type in sdb. I'm so clueless I don't understand most of the comments here but I succeeded because of this superb site. Many Thanks to whoever is responsible for it.

Hey, I also like raspbmc. I've installed it a few times - but now i don't get it bootet with the standard installation. Everything works good until the raspberry reboots - then I get the red R in the left upper corner and the pi is standing still. Have you got any ideas? Thanks!

Downloaded the network image and put it on my SD-card.

I put the SD-card in my RPi and turned it on.

The RPi seems to do its business, but at some point it will show a out of memory error and it will kill some process, thus halting the installation.

EDIT: I must add that I'm attempting to do this on a 128GB SD-card. Seems a bit excessive I know, but why shouldnt it work. :p

Just tried to do the exact same thing on my other 2GB SD-card and the installation completed without much hassle.

Right now I've made an image of that succesful installation and writing it to the 128GB SD-card...
