since latest update i cant access via SMB…it keeps asing for username/password

have tried pi:raspberry but nothin????????

Same here – absolutely astounded at how polished the entire installation-to-boot process is. I wanted to use this primarily as a DMR at various places in the house – an idea I thought was original and radical – but found out lots of people beat me to it. So to the developers and all the people who’ve made this a turnkey solution for me – you have my eternal thanks!!

I have the same exact problem this build seems less like a final build for me. Also I can only exit the video with the stop button which does not save where i had watched up to.

… A few days later, it works fine : updates seems to have solved it ! I think that it may be usefull to switch off automatic updates, to keep a stable system.

How do I backup my libraries, covers etc. before I’ll do the Update to raspbmc final?
Do I have to set up everthing again after updating?

The bluecop add-on repository does not seem to run. It installs then when you got to download some of its add on none are listed. Any ideas?

I discovered that was a problem with my new router. The DNS server didn’t set correctly, for some reason. I resolved installing raspbmc with old router and then set resolv.conf properly.

Or you can take a backup of your settings and then restore them through ssh (as described in the post). That worked like a charm for me. Plus, hopefully we will not need to do any more clean installes but rather just upgrade the ones we have.
