I found my way here to prep myself in advance since my Pi is on the truck "Out For Delivery." Here's where I ran across this item, "Higher overclocking options in Raspbmc Settings – up to 1.5Ghz!" There doesn't' seem to be much buzz about it. Is that without overvolting to the point of voiding the warranty?

The 5.1 surround to 2.0 issue was resolved with a kernel update instead of an XBMC update (thanks to the amazing popcornhour), so if you want to you can certainly run RC4 with the updated kernel, and it should do everything you are looking for.

Sorry, but:
- Stuff is tested
- Updating a 4 month old system, which would have been Beta to Release Candidate is not supported
- If you disabled updates, they do not 're-enable' themselves. This is user error.
Patches welcome -- otherwise, appreciate this is early stage software

Hi,
I just installed Raspbmc.
Is it normal that the CPU stays on 92/94% work load?

And a second question. What is better SMB or NFS for using files on a NAS?

For the rest: top software!

Sam Nazarko,

For the past 4 months, I have disabled the auto-update feature and for those two times I have unexpectedly found myself with a broken Media Center because it eventually updated the kernel and system scripts that were not even tested before being pushed to the users.

This is the worst piece of software package/distribution that I've ever encountered, you have promised something that you clearly are incapable of delivering.

Installed on a spare card and tried this for the first time today. Absolutely blown away by how good this is. Really liked the integration you get with the add-ons for SoundCloud & Shoutcast. I may well buy another pi just for this :). Thanks for all the effort you'e obviously putting in to perfect it.
