Make sure they are both plugged in when you originally apply the power to the pi.

mmc0: Timeout waiting for hardware interrupt – cmd12.
mmcblk0: error -110 sending to stop command, original cmd response 0×900, card status 0×900
mmc0: final write to SD card still running

Surprisingly installation completed eventually (being patient seems to be the key), rebooted succesfully and I managed to log in, but now it seems to ignore my mouse and keyboard. Will check with different mouse and keyboard later!

Am now connecting to internet via a Netgear universal wifi adapter (not a usb wifi stick) and then playing music and vids off my main PC… Now I just need to get to grips with xbmc itself :)

Then setup auto update and reboot
After updating it will start xbmc gui :)
